Documentary feature about the history and current state of music in Mali West Africa. An intimate music forward look into the homes and jam sessions of the best musicians from Mali.
We created a typeface from the hand-painted signage around Mali from the stores and shops. We created a device that seamlessly transitioned from scenes to archival, with the archival composited into the extended sets using VFX. The GFX feel part of the dusty and sun-drenched world of the story.
