In the past we also have worked oncommercials, cartoons, brand films, scripted series, and fine art projects. All of our work is crafted with a focus on emotional depth, visual authenticity, and intentionality.

Where are you based? Do you work globally?

We are based in Los Angeles, California, and proudly work with clients worldwide. We are only ever a Zoom call or an email away and work with any timezone thrown at us.

How do we start a project with Buildestroy?

Start by reaching out through our Contact Page. We’ll schedule a consultation call to understand your vision, discuss your project’s needs, and explore how we can best bring your story to life. If it's a good fit on both sides than we start the bidding / SOW and then onboarding and deposit on the project. From there the design exploration deck process begins and the project Phases begin.

What are the project phases typically?

Phase 1: We often start to collaborate with clients from the very first roughcut, offering moodboards, visual treatments, and creative strategy to ensure the graphics feel cohesive and true to your vision with options to choose from. Phase 2: We select the graphic voice which includes type, color, texture, motion, and look treatments. Phase 3: We animate and create all of the elements and toolkits needed by AEs and editors and deliver those. Phase 4: We interface with Color and Online teams to deliver finals often including textless graphics and final Project collects.

What does a GFX package or toolkit consist of?

The GFX package or toolkit always depends on the need of the film and storytelling style. At the most minimal it contains a Main Title, and Lower 3rds of names, locations, dates, and events. In addition to this there are usually some type of archival photos or documents and end credits to design and animate. The toolkit aspect implies a delivery of assets to the Assistant Editors and Editors templates and graphics that they can manipulate on their end as needed. This usually leaves the more bespoke needs to us which includes Info GFX and Explainers other more specific and comlplex design and animation needs.

What is your typical turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary depending on the project’s scope and complexity. On average, you can expect delivery within 6–10 weeks for full-length films and 3–6 weeks for shorter projects. Docuseries have there own calendars that we follow strictly. We will always provide a clear timeline at the beginning of your project.

What is your pricing structure?

Our projects are quoted based on the scope, creative needs, and production requirements. After an initial consultation, we provide a custom proposal outlining the Scope of Work, timelines, and deliverables. We believe in transparency, high quality, and honoring the value of your story above all.
